I'm a retired Geologist living in Northern California. In my second life, I hope to graduate from shooting snapshots to creating photographs. As a geologist I learned to look into the earth rather than just gaze upon it. I hope to achieve the same with photography. that is, to create photographs that viewers will look into. There are many good teachers on Panoramio from which to learn.

Thank you Julianna for your wooow comment and LK-52! I was standing on the platform when I took the photo, however the train engineer did blow his horn at me for leaning over the edge a bit too far!!!
