I post this in tribute to an old friend, Mike Clyburn, known to many as TrikerMike. Sadly Mike died on the 16th April 2014. God bless you dear friend. R.I.P------If you wish to comment, you may do so here (http://www.panoramio.com/photo/105812676) or here (http://www.panoramio.com/photo/105753699)--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope you see something of interest here and it pleases your eye :) Photography is simply my way of freezing a precious moment in time..That unique event can never occur again but we can re-capture the memory of it here :) I use the following cameras #1----Pentax K7..extremely versatile with lots of superb features in the menu. It will take all the old and very good Pentax lens...The camera weighs a tonne :) #2----Nikon Coolpix E8700...A delightful little camera for point and shoot work..It still takes great shots and has a superb zoom lens. Thanks to modern technology, digital cameras allow me to capture images with hardly any fuss. This works fine for me since I have failing eyesight (age-related cataracts). Since I am not computer wise, my ability to churn out comments is restricted for the reasons given. I make an honest attempt to visit many galleries and respond to the majority of comments..If I missed you out, I humbly apologise for it is not my intent, ;) Thank you for taking the time to look. A most enjoyable sequence of shots Jörg ;)

One can easily imagine this port being a hive of activity in days gone by!

Eventually, the old wharfs and warehouses will be converted into expensive homes for the wealthy!

Hugely liked!

Kind regards!

Unworldly! Magical lights, wonderful scenery!
Best wishes, András

Well seen & done

Thank you Joanna! Greetings :)

Georgi Kesmev; You have a wonderful gallery with many great places. I was here in 2012 and have photo's from this location.(Mary's Bridge) But yours is just great. In the next couple of weeks I'll be posting my Germany pictures. With some nice pictures from Lake Hallstatt Austria. For now I have you as a favorite and will continue to follow your work. My Best Regards Richard from Northern California.

"Lest we forget"

A fitting tribute Ray !

I have strong feelings for remembering those who paid the ultimate sacrifice!

I hope that those who fought in modern wars are remembered and honoured accordingly, especially for those poor souls who have lost their lives in the lost cause that is Afghanistan!

I want to remember too! Y*+L

Good shot, and perfect timing!
