A warm welcome everyone;)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I hope you see something of interest here and it pleases your eye :) Photography is simply my way of freezing a precious moment in time..That unique event can never occur again but we can re-capture the memory of it here :) I use the following cameras #1----Pentax K7..extremely versatile with lots of superb features in the menu. It will take all the old and very good Pentax lens...The camera weighs a tonne :) #2----Nikon Coolpix E8700...A delightful little camera for point and shoot work..It still takes great shots and has a superb zoom lens. Thanks to modern technology, digital cameras allow me to capture images with hardly any fuss. This works fine for me since I have failing eyesight (age-related cataracts). Since I am not computer wise, my ability to churn out comments is restricted for the reasons given. I make an honest attempt to visit many galleries and respond to the majority of comments..If I missed you out, I humbly apologise for it is not my intent, ;) Thank you for taking the time to look. Thanx a lot, Jim, for your comments - I´ll share your words with my wife - she´s the author of this pic ... she specialized herself in panoramas ...; thanx for Y*+L as well, greetings, Zbynda

Hello, Stathis, thanx for your words of compliment and the Like, greetings from Prague, Zbynda

Apparently, great views from up there, Hans. Good for you to see for yourself some time.

Best wishes, Brian.

After looking at this crispy and colouful shot, I feel as though I want to wish you a premature happy Christmas Jim! :)

Noticing when it was taken, maybe a happy New-year would be more appropriate though. :)

Whichever one applies, this photo' of the chimney-pots and abbey of old Whitby catching the early/late warmth of the sun, deserves a humongous "like"!

Sunny regards, ~ :D

Beautiful picture. Like Cheers, Remi

I've just passed a very entertaining time perusing your delightful gallery Jim.

Over more years than I really care to count, we have visited many times most of the places that you have recorded in such a very attractive and competent way.

This superb shot(s) of Skinningrove is a definite F&L for me; such beauty, and so relaxing to look at it must again be savoured, especially on a cold dark winter's night when rain is lashing the window panes! :)

Happy dog-walking, ~ David.

Hello Anupam. Great picture. LIKE. I love India! Welcome to my photo galleries - INDIA, UKRAINE and others. Best regards, Sergey.

Hello Jim, it's nice of you to drop by and comment.

I'm pleased that you admire this old veteran of the seas; alas there are too few of them left around, and a bit like the our old aircraft, they tend to cost an enormous amount to maintain.

All these sailing ships are very photogenic, it's a great pity they didn't have Pentax's etc. in those days - (though they did posses (c)annons!) :¬)

Warm greetings, ~ David.
