A warm welcome everyone;)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I hope you see something of interest here and it pleases your eye :) Photography is simply my way of freezing a precious moment in time..That unique event can never occur again but we can re-capture the memory of it here :) I use the following cameras #1----Pentax K7..extremely versatile with lots of superb features in the menu. It will take all the old and very good Pentax lens...The camera weighs a tonne :) #2----Nikon Coolpix E8700...A delightful little camera for point and shoot work..It still takes great shots and has a superb zoom lens. Thanks to modern technology, digital cameras allow me to capture images with hardly any fuss. This works fine for me since I have failing eyesight (age-related cataracts). Since I am not computer wise, my ability to churn out comments is restricted for the reasons given. I make an honest attempt to visit many galleries and respond to the majority of comments..If I missed you out, I humbly apologise for it is not my intent, ;) Thank you for taking the time to look. I JUST READ ON THE FORUM :

Since 2005, Panoramio has been a community of talented photographers dedicated to helping us build the world's largest geolocated photo collection and allow people to virtually explore the world on Google Maps and Earth. Here’s a glimpse of what’s ahead for the community. Over the past year, we’ve developed a similar community in Views, which lets you publish geo-relevant content (photo spheres and traditional photography) on Google Maps. In the future, we plan to migrate Panoramio into Views, creating one destination where you can publish and peruse imagery from around the globe. Before migrating any imagery, we’ll make sure that Views reaches a level of feature maturity that supports the needs of the community. We're not there yet, but we’re actively working to address the problems we’ve heard from the community. In the meantime, please continue to use Panoramio as you always have, knowing that once Views is ready we will help you migrate your content there. Our hope is to provide a platform that gives photographers and photography-lovers a forum to share their work. Simultaneously, we also want to help our global Google Maps users explore the world and make decisions about where to go, whether it’s majestic landscapes they dream of visiting or a restaurant in their neighborhood. We sincerely thank our loyal Panoramio contributors for sharing the beauty of our world through your lens. We can’t wait to see all the photos you’ll share next!

Thank you, Evan Rapoport Product Manager, Views
