Thank you for visiting my collection. The images are those things which have caught my eye during my activities of daily work, short visits, and routine travels in and around East Texas. It’s the offbeat that draws me; patterns, decay, old buildings, places with historical context, and, overriding everything is the oddity that has become out of place and out of time in the shifting sands of modern society. Enjoy.

Xoniod1, I noticed that you stated your Dad is in this picture. I am from Rains County and I am putting together documentation of all of our classmates that we have lost from Rains High School. In doing this and the research that has gone along with it, I came across this picture. If you wouldn't mind sharing with me your Dad's name, I would love to share this picture with all of my Classmates as I am also doing a History of Page too. I am one of the Northcutt family members from Rains County and my personal email is mscnr@hotmail.com or you can find me on Facebook under Cindy Gayle Northcutt Roberts-Thomas. Thank you and God Bless!

Exactly, I forgot.

My wife and I paddered the Trinity from Lock and Dam at hiway 7 to my parents ranch about 10 or 12 miles and loved every bit of it. It took us about 7 or 8 hours because the river was pretty low at the time.

Hello Ahmad, Thanks for the YsL!! :-)

Thank you Johann50 for the kind comment. Best regards to you from Minnesota........ Rich

Those people are Texans that only recently moved here and use this corner hiring hall as a way of finding work. The more things that change about Palestine, Texas the more they are the same. The 1880s Immigrant Home served the same purpose.

Wonderful picture with Texas burning sunshine on Margy bridge and big D. You all guys! don't mess with that creek: watch out when flooooooood comes! Anyway, gran foto del puente y de la ciudad.

I think it worked out well too. Thanks Marianne.
