The last and only time I was in Berlin was October 1961 Flying into THF on BEA Viscount (G-AOHJ) two years after returning from Canada. I was then invloved (1956-1959) with the construction and operation of the DEW Line at CYZF and CYCB. In those days I became to appreciate DC3's as so many were involved with transporting freight, mail and passengers from the south, Edmonton,Alta and the northern DEW sites both east and west of CYCB and in the east, north from CYFB. I consider there probably more if this type of a/c than any other during this period. Therefore I collected many photographs but doubt that many have survived the years with PWA, MCA, Worldwide, and others including EAA and Cambrian. All extinct airlines now.
