Hi Neil. Sadly, I do not know very much about it. The location is where the freezer company now resides. A long time ago 1940s/50's there was a company called Swift Levick there. They made munitions parts. Prior to that there was some form of lime industry there. Hence the chimney on the hillside.

Took this just before I hopped over the wall and cleared it all out. As soon as it was cleared small brown trout swam downstream into the reservoir.
