Sister Rani Maria Vattalil FCC (1954–95) was a Catholic religious and missionary social worker helping the poor tribes for their legitimate rights. Uprising of tribes and losing legal battles disturbed the feudal system and they targeted the support behind the tribes as Sr. Rani Maria. Religious hatred propaganda used as a tool to brainwash one farmer to terminate her service forever. Sr. Rani Maria on her way to Indore was attacked, dragged out of the bus and stabbed till death. Martyrdom of Sr. Rani Maria inspired more people towards her Faith in Missionary Service including her killer Samandar Singh who is out of jail and serving the poor as testimony of service without reward.
