I'm Jerry Blank, a scenic, nature, and travel photographer based in central Florida. My passion is discovering the beauty of the United States, capturing it, and sharing it with others. Much of my inspiration comes from the many contributors to Panoramio -- I cannot mention you all here, but you know who you are--who share the same passion. Few Forest Service trails in Montana offer views of so many waterfalls as Hyalite...and the trail is only several miles long.

A rafter's paradise during the spring melt.

From the Maah Daah Hey Trail, one can take a couple of side spurs called the Ice Caves Trail and the Aspen Trail, and explore the small sandstone caves here. But those who do so should remember this is prime rattlesnake habitat.

The river in this photo is the northern boundary of the Ponderosa Pine Area of the Little Missouri National Grassland. It is the only native ponderosa forest in North Dakota, comprising perhaps a couple dozen square miles. There is public access to the eastern side of the forest at the USFS Burning Coal Vein campground.

I no longer exhibit at art fairs, nor take the time to do photo contests...but this image seems to be a good seller. Even if it was not, it is gratifying to see so many people viewing it online! This is a bit of God's country that few get to see in person.
