GBTA's conversations

Human population can be divided into two distinct groups: 1. those people who have seen a total solar sun eclipse at least once, and 2. those unfortunate, who have not. Being exposed to this spectacular, very rare celestial phenomenon has a very strong impact on everybody who witness it. No photograph can give any idea of this experience of sudden nighttime in the middle of the day, accompanied by the changing appearance of the dimmed sun surrounded by a dancing crown, otherwise invisible during daytime. Watching this incredible show of nature changes your perception of the Universe forever...

I love this photo! We have seen this a few times when we were driving along side roads in Finnish Lapland. There were more reindeers on the road to be seen than cars. ~+~+~+~ LIKE! / GEFÄLLT MIR! ~+~+~+~+~ Jürgen grüßt Dich aus Frankfurt am Main / Jürgen says hello from Frankfurt-upon-Main (Germany)

And Google, keep your hands off Panoramio!!!! - Und Google, Hände weg von Panoramio!!!!

Why are no more fotos released for Google Earth? / Warum werden keine Fotos mehr für Google Earth freigegeben?

Is the ignominious end near? Ist das schmähliche Ende nahe?

A pair of nominate sp. Eurasian Bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula pyrrhula). Irkutsk and Baikal is at the southern edge of this variety's breeding range, and the population may be variably augmented by post-breeding migrants from the north/northwest. A similar plumaged subspecies 'cassini' occurs in Ussuri and China but does not stray this far west.
