Thank you for the story about the sub. For a couple of years ago i visited a russian atomic sub. It was short after the wall came down. I was suprised to see how low tech it looked inside. It was built in the 80s but looked like it was from the 50s. And there was no comfort at all. Even the captain had no space - just a bed and a small cupboard. That's all.
