Marker is still in the wrong location. The mansion is about a mile northwest of here. You can see it on the hilltop in the satelite image.

That is the Self-Help Public Services building. They are the ones who funded many of the loans that got business going in the 1990's in Asheville.

Great shot. shows the shadow of the Jackson Building, one of the first skyscrapers in North Carolina, built in the early 1920s.
