This old bridge scared the bejesus out of me on more than one occasion even when I knew what was going on. One time I was sitting in my truck waiting for a traffic jam to clear up. All at once my truck started rocking. I said to my self " A dump truck must have just pulled up on the bridge." I was right. The closer it got to me the more my truck rocked. I was glad to see the old bridge closed and torn down. I'd bet I'm not the only person who has a story or stories about the old bridge.
This is the one I was talking about. I need it pretty large. Maybe 24x36. I don't know if you would sell the file or the finished print. Either would be ok.
I've had suggestions that Devil's Elbow is on a different branch. I can only go by what the tour guide says, and this was what he called Devil's Elbow. Go figure.
I emailed the famous swimmer Christopher Swain regarding the "mystery stream." He seemed to think it might be Jumbo Creek, but he's not sure. I looked it up online & the area looked about right, & the Columbia Wetlands were mentioned, though nothing one way or the other about where it went. It was more an environmental article.
