I have been photographing Oregon since 2001. I mainly do landscapes. They seem to be much easier to work with :) I am drawn to the outdoors because I feel most at peace in nature. I would love to do a book someday. Maybe with a focus on the environment. I believe nature photographers get a front row seat to observe climate change and its tangeable effects on the land. With their cameras ready to record the proof. I feel a need at this time to preserve the land through my photos. Check out my Personel Gallery at

Greetings from Ticino, Switzerland Andrea

The only thing that you can do here is to scream of joy (I don't know if it is a usable form in english but I hope you understand what I mean...)

Greetings from the southern side of the Swiss Alps, Andrea

There maybe aren't the right words to describe how beautiful is this place but your picture shows it well! Greetings from the Alps, Andrea

In all my 20+ years living in Salem I never had the chance to go inside for a tour. :-/

Thanks Heather, If I remember correctly this area once was a small lake and the colors you see is sediment piled up for 100's of years from both rivers and creeks carrying it and volcanic ash deposits.. Many Plant and animal fossils have been found in and around The John Day Fossil Beds.
