”... even the finest scenery loses incalculably when there is no one to enjoy it with.” Mark Twain, A Tramp Abroad, 1880 Although I only recently read this quote, I think it sums up nicely why I share my photos. Matthew Walters's conversations

Hi Rafael, thanks - your comments mean a lot to me. As for getting in - the second pool is still open and it's a public building. I phoned on Friday and asked if I could look around the gala pool and take some photos; I took some last week when I was there as part of the 100 swimmers project but killed the film when I was developing it. They were happy to let me in, so I had free acces with nobody else around - my ideal situation. If you are interest in the future (and past) of the pool, google "Moseley Road Baths" - the "friends of the baths" has a good site.

It is to bad it will close. I love this urban decay images. L+F all of these images

Great to hear from you Hank, and I'm glad you like my B&W work. I'm really enjoying shooting medium format film and developing at home - I find I have to think a little more carefully when I only get 10 or 12 shots per roll! Birmingham has some really interesting architecture, I have another photo op next week in the Jewellery Quarter.

Wishing you well with you new venture, and I look forward to seeing some more from you soon.
