The Tangalooma wrecks were sunk as an artificial reef to encourage fishing and diving sites, is added to as suitable ships become available. So far 15 small ships of various types, trawlers/coal lighters/ yachts, have been sunk. The wrecks teem with fish life and are a popular shallow water dive site.

Stumbled on it outside of Tenterfield. I am sure the memorial was not there last time we travelled this road, some years ago. The road leads to Bald Rock and Goonoo Goonoo National Parks

Apparently caused by incorrect setting of QNH. When terrain following radar was engaged it malfunctioned putting the aircraft into an extreme nose up climb leading to low level aircraft stall.

Found these links which you may find interesting about James (Joseph) Bradbury Parr http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/cgi-bin/paperspast?a=d&d=DOM19160428.2.20 http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/1048273 http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/77606749

I think they have been put in a reserve.
