The two panoramic shots were taken a couple seconds apart which accounts for a lot of the disparity in the position of the oars. However the rowing club members soon got a good rhythm going and reached an impressive speed under full power.
This panoramic photo is stitched together from three separate shots using Photoshop Elements 6.0 without any cropping or filling
Ken Kesey (of Merry Prankster and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest fame) was knighted by King Arthur Uther Pendragon here in Boscawen Un stone circle in August 1999 just before the solar eclipse.
I am going to post some pictures of this event in Panoramio soon, but they won't be accepted by G-E because they have too many people in them.
Takeo, You can see the view I mentioned before by looking at the panoramic I stitched together from 19 separate telephoto shots I took on this same walk up Kala Pattar. It's in Panoramio right now and will probably be uploaded to G-E in a month or so.
Max: I can't remember, maybe something to do with the Stonehenge midsummer festivals (picture taken in July), maybe just simply to prevent visiting "for free" ?. At that time visitors could go everywere, even climb on some rocks ( i did not publish these pictures, too many people on them), when I went back in the nineties you were only alowed to walk arount the monument in some distance. Well, this is astonishing. I've always wanted to climb up there.
Wonderful fluid image in the ripples. I'll have to look for them when I'm passing by duck ponds in the future.

Yes you get these juxtapositions all over the world. It makes you wonder.
