I grew up in Hibbing and I think that this is the right house. I delivered the newspaper to Bob Dylan's aunt & uncle when I was a kid. Anyway, if the original pic is different, it's because the new owners likely painted it and fixed it up. The current paint job in this pic is very recent compared to the paint jobs on Hibbing houses when I lived there 17+ years ago.

JMF Note: Notice Peroni's vineyard and JRF's TV antenna on the top of the hill. The scar from the landslide in the late 50's is also visible.

Thanks for the story Vasily. I'll also have to visit Lame Deer and pay my respects at the graves of Dull Knife and Little Wolf.

:)Exactly! I have no doubt that Crazy Horse would not like that "his" statue over Sacred Black Hills!

Thank you Starla Jean. Your story is wonderful and I was wondering if you could copy your two comments over to one or more of my pictures taken at the memorial tree at the massacre site so that more people could see them. Max

There is a long and interesting conversation from several years ago in the comments on my picture: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/16091155 covering the histories of the Crow, Lakota and whites. It culminates in the question of man's inhumanity to man.
