Yup, the Tolkiens first lived here at No.22 Northmoor Rd. Then moved to the larger house at No.20 to give Edith more space in 1930.
The indigenous church in San Juan Chamula in 2002 was one of the most moving experiences of my life.
Everybody: I just discovered and scanned a roll of B&W negatives I shot in Ios and at Rolando's villa using a borrowed camera in the spring of 1973. I uploaded them to Panoramio but not all were accepted in G-E. You can see them in Panoramio.
Moved from the ridge above because the satellite image of Ios is overexposed

This is definitely an M60A1. An M60A3 has a thermal shroud around the main gun. An M60A3 will have a mast for the cross-wind sensor on the back of the turret. An M60A3 normally does not have a searchlight mount because with TTS the searchlight was not needed. This type track, T-142, replaced the older T-97 track and was used on all M60 series vehicles as well as the M48A5.
