Clay McQueen's conversations

Good photo! I'd be curious to now if it receded even further now?

This place was interestingly the site of a horrific train accident on December 5, 1921. The interurban train line (the remnants of which can still be seen cutting through the trees near the creek) was then a busy passenger line. A rail crew got confused after taking a siding to allow a first train by, not understanding that a second train was coming right behind it. They collided head-on near the Woodmont station in a deep cut on a curve near here, and 23 people died, many of them in a fire that broke out soon after the crash. For more on the accident, check these links:

Since the ship is at full dress (the up and over flags) and given they date, they were probably just there for a 4th of July visit. Ships at piers don't provide air security.

The rope walk mention is part of the original Plymouth Cordage Company. My Grandmother worked there in Plymouth, MA. when she was a teenager. She talked about how she would ride a bicycle from one end to the other. I had the pleasure to accompany her later in her life when she visited the building at the Seaport.

Great Shot. Fit a lot into the picture. Thanks for sharing.

Pioneer & Byberry Roads. I've rescued people from their cars at this intersection. It boggles my mind how many people attempt to cross through this area when it floods.

Gargoyle:

Nice to bump into an old friend in cyberspace! This is a familiar location for me. Check out some of my Panoramio shots here:

We attended a wedding and reception aboard, as the vessel cruised the Severn River.

I miss my home town more than anyone could ever know.I used to sit up here and watch the sun set with my freinds after a hard day of playing or sledding on the "HILL".Watching the leaves change colors in the fall.I miss my town.

This was taken on November 11, 2001 outside Veterans' Stadium, after an Eagles NFL game. This statue was located outside of Gate B. Veterans' Stadium was demolished in 2004.
