Hello Dragon 64,
It's very pretty down there on the meadows. I have a reciprocal shot from Blorenge down onto Abergavenny too.
It's shown as Abergavenny and Skirrid Fawr.
It's deep in the valley there and the sun is often high overhead, making the lighting flat and uninteresting for most of the day; but if you can get there in when the sun is low over the hills it looks great, you can get some good reflections off the lake.
Woodbine Cottage is the property set back above the road; the hamlet remains relatively unchanged since I left there in 1963, except for the removal of a small colliery spoil heap. The houses on the distant hillside are part of Trevethin.

I'm old, and local enough to remember them working this site :-(
Autumn evenings can be magical up in this secluded valley :-)
I was lucky enough to catch a nice evening up there.
Relax !!!!!!! Like
Sans aucun doute, celle que je préfère! Le cadrage, la couleur, et quel point fort que ce héron!
Un mari de l'AQ du CRAW ;-)

Hmm? Photogenic slag heaps!
The interesting 'rock' formation in the background is actually a weathered slag heap.
