Hi lovers of the Ceze and the Village! Have you known Palou and his Ruins, his Paella, his Poems? I know La Roque sonce I am 5 (now 60...) and it is for me a haven of peace. Fishing in the Ceze with silver forks I used to attach to a bamboo pole... Riding my Indian canoe... Jumping across the Sautadet from pillar to pillar!!! Diving in the 21m deep after the torrent. Spending winter evenings around the blazing fire in the chimney. Enjoying soupe de poisson with homemade "rouille". And going to school in Bagnols-sur-Ceze!!! What memories!! Palou lies in the little cemetery of La Roque. He made the village and lauded it. Visit it and have a picnic at the "Rocher de Singes"... the naturists' secluded flat rock where the water is cool, clear and shallow. Ideal forparents with kids. But beware of the Sautadet Cascade. It's a funnel and very dangerous!! Peace to you who enjoy Nature.
