Naiadi's fountain. The fountain is decorated with three Naiade statues, a Nereide statue and a central Glauco statue. Naiade is the Italian transaltion of a sweet water nymph, one is the nymph of the lakes caressing a cob; one is the nymph of subterraneous waters, playing with a reptile; one is the nymph of the rivers coiled with a monster. Nereide is a sea water nymph embracing an horse ( simbology of the sea waves )and Glauco, in the middle of the fountain, is the divinity of sea, protector of the harbours.

Deserto di cabras, qui inizia la vera Sardegna, incontaminata, selvaggia e ai confini d'Europa. Da qui andando verso sud via spiaggia inizia uno splendido tratto di costa senza segni umani ( forse uno degli ultimi rimasti ). A mio avviso questo spazio dovrebbe essere fatto Parco Nazionale!!.

Capu d'Ortu is really a fantastic trekking!! Departing fron the road D81, calculate a couple of hours only to reach this big rock ( it's on the way ). The route is hard, and very steep but you will pass through a splendid mediterranean forest and at the end, your effort will be payed back by the most beautiful view you've ever seen!!

Dal camping "Acapulco" si puo'praticamente uscire dalla tenda e tuffarsi in mare!!!Il posto e'bello ma denso e ultracostoso: 17 euro a cranio a notte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! escluso parcheggio moto, condsiderando che in corsica, appena 10 km da qui'si paga dai 3.5 ai 7 euro a testa a notte, e rumoroso, a causa del fastidioso Karaoke che non finisce mai prima di mezzanotte!!

Nothing of really interesting here in Girolata. In the bay there are no old fisherman houses, but expensive restaurants ( 3 to 4 euro for 500ml of cold water ) and few houses of rich people! Coming here by feet is beautiful but hard, calculate 4 hours minimun for the roundtrip, and in the summer bring with you food and water ( 2 to 3 liters each skull ).

The steepest official slope of Europe!!!! I was lucky, because after a snowy night, the slope was easy and funny!

Annata di nevicate superabbondanti!! Di neve ce ne era talmente tanta che hanno dovuto scavare all'arrivo sotto la seggiovia per non farla toccare a terra. Sopra i 2000 metri si e'sciolta completamente la prima settimana di giugno!!!!!
