Very nice place?...peaceful & calm.

Correctly sited, but wrongly named Ali. This is TRAFALGAR SQUARE!

The Jordanian flag sympolizes the kingdom’s root in the Great Arab Revolt of 1916. The black, Whit and green bands represent the Arab Abbasid. Umayyad and Fatimid dynasties.

And the seven- pointed Islamic star set in the center of the crimson triangle represents the seven verses of Surat Al-Fatiha, the first Sura in the Holy Qura’n

The beautiful fourth-century church from which the Pope would begin his pilgrimage to the holy land in 2000, is perched high above the Dead Sea with a breath taking panoramic view.

I admired the Bedouin spirit, envied their freedom, and thought modern man could learn valuable lessons from their total independence from material culture.

This was the last mill to serve al-mughayyir, but not the first. The mill shown was moved and served the village until the mid 1945. The mill was operated for many years by the the village familys.
