Thanks for the memory - old haunts, nicely photographed

Oh, this is, indeed, no doubt to the location of the photo of last month (January, 2012) in "This England's Country Calendar" . Sight of the forest at dusk of winter, too beautiful, too.

It is Holbeche House, last refuge of the Gunpowder Plotters

I grew up in Kingswinford. This was and will always remain "The Cross" to me. I revile this attempt to jazz it up with a name that has nothing to do with the area, in a rush to go as low as you can in marketing.
