Now I know the Brocken Harz Mountains, dear Ian... It is always a wonderful feeling to be on the mountains!!

I hope one day we can do this together...

Hi Faith, the camera was at an f16 aperture,f16 or greater should work ok and focus on the first or second piers in,experement with aperture and focus point depth into the image,to get max depth of field focus.A good tripod, nice long shutter speed with the nd400,will turn the water smokey. Keep experimenting,so easy to do this now with digital. note also that f22 and higher will start to have reduced image sharpness due to diffraction in the lens.
