I used to walk these woods with my family in the late 1940s right through to the late 1950s. I recall these walks with a genuine fondness. The woods were just right for exploration, deep and dark places but with incredible colour at different times of the year. I particularly remember the rhodies with their vivid and exotic colours. Wonderful memories......
