Great images ! the last time I explored the area was in late summer by bike. It was an ordeal I'm not ready to forget...
The area is an unexpected surprise considering what we typically expect from the Canadian shield which is mostly devoid of stark topography...But then the topography isn't fully stark, it's rockier !

hi there all , am ANDRE i was raise in the building on the right dont know if some of you remeber the name LEGAULT GEOGRE then we lived in the moblie house were the bleu house is on the left thats when it was nordair and austin airways i went to school on top of the hill i was the only white boy in school , i use to ring the bell the guys [kids] would hold me back so they can finish smokeing and i would stool on them for smokeing ha ha we were kids then anyway if any of you remeber me or us [family legault] hi and hope to go back one day i really loved the place am a fork left driver thanks to mouses geogre he was cree if you need a left driver up there let me know any way hi again if anyone remebers back then and take care ANDRE

The best walk in the East. The Appalachian Trail runs close to the ridgeline the length of the Presidentials. At this point the hiker is 12-15 miles from the Maine border.
