Hello
At first whew I saw your comment I thought why could it not be ? Then I looked at the cars on the photograph and immediatly understood why you would think so.I had never noticed this before. I can assure you that this photograph was taken in Dover on London road looking South. The EXIF data on my camera indicates it was taken on August 12 2005 and indeed that's when I stayed at the Youth hostel for one night.
Your comment strongly baffled me, the cars directions indeed go opposite british driving directions so I did a bit of research to prove my integrity . It so happens that London road in Dover is a one-way street going North which explain the ongoing traffic and parking direction. The lane marked with an "S" must be a parking lane and the white car is just parked in the wrong direction. I can only assume that the dark blue van is heading towards a parking space ahead of the crosswalk( notice there are no on comming cars comming its way)> I also assume that it must be allowed to park in the opposite traffic flow when deemed safe. I remember well the next morning of this photograph, my taxi also parked in front of the hostel which would be opposite traffic flow.
Again I understand your disbelief in the identification of this picture but I must reinterate with assurance that it was taken in Dover and no other place. You have my word of honnor.
