There is no adequate way for me to say Thank You for this photograph. I've not been in DC since the late 80s. Presently, I live more than a thousand road miles from DC.

I used to walk this path from UDC to my apartment on NH Ave NW, and every time I began my walk in Rock Creek Park, no matter the weather, I magically entered another world. Rarely did I encounter other people, so most of the time I was alone in that natural wonderland.

Had it not been for all the technological advancements associated with computers and the Internet, I never would have seen this photo which brings back so many emotions and memories.

This photo is simply excellent. Again, Thank You so much, soundchasser, for posting this beautiful scene.

Those who were there know it will always be Frank Howard's 'field' - it was a privilege to play there, and an honor to graduate and always be a part of a special place where time, places and most importantly people are forever intertwined.
