That is known as "Mortlake Bridge", you are correct that it carries the Great Chertsey Rod, but tHere is also a "Chertsey Bridge" further up stream at Chertsey.

A new facility not shown on Google Earth. As the site matures and grass regrows this will become better. Road noise from the nearby dual carriageway however spoils the location.
One of my last pictures of March 2008. I was soon to return to full time work after 2 months of redundancy. 2 months of many miles of cycling the Lee Valley and surrounding areas.

FYI thst is Teddington Lock. You are correct that it is "near Ham" but it takes it's name from the town on the other side of the river
