i like this picture mh, yes, i live there and a big part of my ancestry lived where i live today, too. I dont know any Schupps, but i found a page with maps to different names http://www.verwandt.de/karten/relativ/schupp.html as you can see there are many Schupps around here

the program which makes the maps counts the telephone numbers you can find in the official telephone book on the names, so there will be a few more, bec not everybody has his phone number in a public telephone book. Where do you live now? if you tell me more i could try to find out more maybe the full name of your ancestor

My ancestor, Johannes Schupp was born in this area around 1562 and died there around 1621. Maybe you are not from the area. If you are do you know if there are any Shupps living in the town?
