Very Nice shot. It's nice to finally see others posting to Google Earth. When I started no one else was doing it in Huntsville.

This culvert and raised earth rail road bed was the site of the 1864 Civil War Battle of Sulfur Trestle - the bloodiest Civil War battle in Alabama.

Hi I use to live on Elora Mountain years ago. I am trying to find out the name of the book that was written about Elora Mountain. When I was there a man lived down near the store that wrote a book about the mountain-he had lived there for 40 years and this was 15 years ago. He wrote a book about the mountain that I would like to purchase. If you know what the name of the book is could you let me know. My email address is sdr15830@gsk.com Thanks for any information.

Hey neighbor. You have some beautiful work on display. An that is a very nice canoe. Glad the Panoramio judges let it pass for Google Earth.

Not sure how to get my response to you so I'm using this pic. Paint Rock River was about 4-5 ft on this site http://water.weather.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=hun&gage=wdva1&view=1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 when I was there . . kinda low but if it was higher it would be too fast for my comfort. I once kicked a plastic canoe off Skyline plateau at Walls of Jericho and paddled down Hurricane? creek past Estele Fork to hwy 146. Interesting. This spring I did Sipsey Wilderness Thompson Creek Bridge to Cranal Rd bridge - nice . . kinda tricky in places. . . ya need good water level. Good luck. Have Fun. Be safe.
