I love to know what was there before the new building. This is a pastiche building yes, but not to be dismissed without justification. Brackets are suspect, the brick arch over the entrance door is the most offending addition. I suggest returning to a timber lintel as you will find in the original buildings.

I am sure these buildings are (if not yet it will be) endless curiosity for Europian tourists since they value their own historic buildings very much.

thanks for the comment... actually it was taken standing up on the motorway which passes by the beach and has a higher-ground.

Glad to see the vernacular architecture is being appreciated. But there are a lot to learn how to conserve, adopt, convert, extend historic or old buildings. Do we have enough expertise in our architectural colleges, practising architects and development control departments of our municipal authorities?
