Yes, thank you, you're right. I just reviewed the sequence of photos I took that trip to confirm it in my mind. I've uploaded a new photo of Cross Island (this photo was originally labelled as "Cross Island" and I've renamed it). The rock on Cross I. is redder and there is a different configuration of buildings. Thanks again and sorry if anyone was confused. Not to be used for navigation!
Please! Add your another pictures "from 44:59:00 to 45:00:59" Thank you!
Thanks. There wasn't any fog on the other side of the lock, in the Bras d'Or, of course. :)
That wouldn't have been our boat. We were just there for the night on our way from Mahone Bay to Cape Breton. We did it twice, in 2006 and 2007. It's an easy place to stop if you're not up to sailing through the night. Easy because you're quickly back out on the open ocean and on your way. Some of the harbours along the Eastern Shore take longer to get into and out of.
My gosh, you're right! It was a schooner rally, and I was so excited by being among these big, beautiful boats (we were sailing a much smaller, non-classic boat) that I never realized that my best photos weren't exactly of schooners. Beautiful old wooden boats, yes, but some were sloops. I'd better save my dignity and upload some of the schooner shots!
Twin photos 100% accurate. My wife took both photos.
Too bad the satellite resolution isn't sharper as in other nearby areas.

Yes, I've seen both "Dover Island" and "Taylor Island" on maps. It's a stunning place.
