There is a small, seasonal watercourse that is a tributary to Middle Creek in Coos County. The falls are visible from the Burnt Mountain Access Road at the 6 1/2 mile marker on Middle Creek Rd. The road is closed at the bridge over Middle Creek so you'll have to walk the 3/4 miles to the falls along the road.
Thanks for your kudos. This is a beautiful bridge that is being allowed to fall into disrepair. Hopefully, the new rail line will get busy and it will be maintained in a manner that it should be.
The hike is May 30th - We plan to meet in Myrtle Point at 7:45 and get shuttle cars placed at Bald Knob and head out on Hanging Rock access trail by 9:30. Meet us at intersection of NF-33 and NF3348 or FS-20 turnoff to Bald Knob at 9am if you want to participate in shuttle.
