That is Anapa Island in the backround, a favorite fishing spot for locals, only sixteen knotical miles from Channel Islands Harbor.

This was shot many years ago on a very warm, clear, "Santa Ana wind" day after sunset. I used a 500mm lens to compress the scene causing the oil rig, crew boat and Anacapa Island to appear larger in the background. In the foreground, the east jetty of Channel Islands Harbor is on the left and the tip of the breakwater is on the right.
