During this period I was in the Island and I remember that the final plan to be submited to the referanda were prepared by both Turkish and Greek Cypriot governments. After long and tiring process of negotiations of two years, both sides had agreed on the wording of the plan. All the articles of of the UN Peace Plan, namely Annan Plan, including those regarding settlers and foreign troops had been agreed by both sides and then the plan was submitted to the referanda. But the Greek Cypriot side proved by their rejection that they are not peace lovers and they do not consider that Turkish Cypriots have equal status with them. In short the Annan Plan was the end product of political wills of both goverments. Therefore it is funny to claim something about settlers as if your government did not accept. As usual you try to distort the reality. But by doing this you can only deceive yourself.
because it's not visible from the road and only a few people are aware of it's existence. it's a private land so no one ever developed it and it is left natural the way it was made. from what I know it was created from a mine of copper and iron that hit an underground salt water reservoir and was shut down because of the expensive costs of maintaining it. Good luck finding it... it's absolutely amazing!
This was taken on a private property owned by a person I know. We went for a day's hike from Jimenez. One of the most magical places on earth.
Matapalo, which is an area in the Peninsula De Osa, is the closest to National Park Corcovado, but is unmarked in the map.
