Thanks for the info! I had some time to kill near Wallace one day last spring, so I spent a little while walking around, and this was one of the buildings that caught my eye. I'm not at all familiar with the town, and so yes, I foolishly assumed that the building was what the sign said it was. It makes more sense that it would have actually been an ice market. I had no idea about that movie, though. That's an interesting detail. What an odd and random little piece of cultural alluvium, combining history and modernity, and the real and the fictional. Fascinating.
To me, I think it is a "clean" caption, and I don't see how it could hurt or harm anyone. I guess you may have been alluding to the use of the "S-word," but I don't see it as offensive or unclean in this context. I used it as part of an idiomatic phrase expressing exclamation in a playful way, rather than referring to anything actually scatological, nor is it abusive or name-calling towards anyone. I meant it exclusively in a fun spirit, and I think that's an appropriate usage. Regardless, I apologize if you were offended or upset by it, and thanks for viewing and commenting on the photo.
I really like this picture. I took it from a window on one of the ornate interior staircases within the magnificent Cultural Center (former main public library) building in downtown Chicago. The view is out the window, through a portion of one of the enclosed courtyards, back into another window of the same building, across another room (which at the time was hosting a presentation about the famous 1930's murals at my alma mater, Lane Tech High School), and back out yet another window looking southeast across Michigan Avenue. There against the horizon glowing in the setting sun, you can make out the frame-like structure that covers much of the lawn area of the beautiful new Pritzker Pavilion in Millenium Park. All in all, I think it's an interesting, subtle but elegant image that effectively captures a memorable moment when I happened to have my cheap little digital camera with me.
