This photo shows Gannochy Bridge (amongst the trees) in the lower part of Gannochy Gorge. The Rocks of Solitude are at the head of the previous gorge, about 2km upstream.

This is the only section of single track railway on the direct line from Aberdeen to London due to this bridge only wide enough to take one track railway. The bridge to this day has not been upgraded to two track.
