Thanks again Dave! It's a really cool place. The lower falls pictured here are easily reached. The upper falls in the other picture is a whole other matter. Very dangerous to get to the view point even with the help of something like 5 or 6 ropes. The foot trail is dang near vertical with parts where you are using roots and branches to help your on your way up. If it wasn't for the ropes I would never have gotten there. The way down was a little more nerve racking than going up in my opinion due to the rope transfers in places. The lower tier of the falls seen in this picture is something like 85' and the upper tier in the other is around 190'. The photos really don't do the size justice. :)
Thank you Dave. Was a fun hike. The picture taking was a little challenging with the sun and being there nearly mid day though. Was a little early in the summer for the Ice caves to form. The waterfalls you see in this picture and in the others form tunnels in the Avalanche cones at the base of the mountains. Think there are others that have photos of the Ice caves posted here on Panoramio.
After a quick glance at your page and a like coming from you that is quite the compliment! Thank you. You have some amazing photos! I take it your from the area?

Thanks Dave. Did a couple hikes to Lake 22 and the ghost mining town of Monte Cristo. Both worth every minute we spent there.

Actually this is from near the west launch for the Para and Hang Gliders and not from the top of Blanchard. It's from Samish Overlook on Blanchard.
