Hello there again! As with my other reply use it for your family tree book no worries. This is now the City Magistrates court, but used to be Fenton town hall in the Victorian era. All the best.

Hi there. The clock tower is in the centre of Stoke Town Centre, not to be confused with Stoke on Trent City Centre, on the market square beside South Wolfe Street beside what is now the indoor market. The clock tower forms the centre of the old Stoke Town market, which is now a modern library. I am not really sure of its age although I have been advised it was built around the Victorian Era. I took the photo before they started to build the library. To be honest the library does enhance the area somewhat, but being a stickler for old buildings I would have preferred it to have been left standing alone in any regeneration scheme. You are more than welcome to use the photo, as long as you don't sell it on for millions as I will want a share of the fortune(!!!!!). Take care and thank you for the compliment.

Yes the old meat market certainly had character. That area with the old market and Sherwins Music shop ect. Seemed a better place then.

Terry's Tea Bar in the new indoor market can be veiwed at:-
