October 2011, relics were stolen from the Abbey, said to contain the wood from the true cross.
Fortunately they were recovered this month by the police.
One of the relics, authenticated by the Vatican as a piece of the cross used in the crucifixion, was handed over to the Abbey in the 12th century by King Donal Mór O’Brien
I remembered me and freind back in the days use to just seat out on the back porch and watch the clouds roll in ' looking at this same sene' thanks Man' for the memorys!!!
