i am architecturally qualified and use the lens as a means to an end. the photo provides more detail than i can achieve in a 15min sketch, so the best percpective completes the job.
the balances of darkness light void etc and contrast provide seduction qualities to the eye. i ,m not always after that type of seduction or quality. the raw baseness is enough sometimes to convey the message and will oblige with understating the value.

instinct tells me, that to quench thine soul with the lens of a camera only, one needs to be careful of too much in the abstract. Thank god for the real world and its nature.

Great place to visit: This pub in picture was once run by "Kevin" of the Coronation St series. The canal is clean and fished, and used by barges. There is a lock gate here. Beautiful countryside.
