Dear Nerber, Hi I'm Nishan from Sri Lanka. I manage a fb page called The Archives - which is about iconic images on Sri Lanka (Ceylon) in the years gone-by. I was searching for some old images of Ceylon & Sri Lanka & had the good fortune of stumbling upon your Panoramio page. Your images taken on Ceylon/ Sri lanka from late 60's to 90's are eceptionally gorgeous & I'd love to showase them in my fb page The Archives. Pls. let me know if you have no objection for posting your images - which is not for a commercial pupose but just to be enjoyed & cherished by a larger audience which is made up of Sri Lankans living in Sri Lanka & who had migrated as well as people of other nationals who love Sri Lanka. Pls. visit my page The Archives (https://www.facebook.com/thearchivesl/) Pls. like the page if you think it's worthwhile. Thanks & Cheers! Nishan
Some of the NDH troops escaped capture at Bleiburg, but a large amount of prisoners was sent on a forced march back through Slovenia, where some of them were immediately subjected to a number of summary executions, and were disposed of either in former tank trenches or in natural pits. Number of captives survived, but were harassed and sent to labor camps, and after a while released, but stripped of human rights.
Captured military and civilian personnel in the columns were subjected to forced marches over long distances, through Croatia and Serbia, under inhumane conditions. It was named “Kižni put (Road of Cross). Exact numbers of persons massacred by Communist Partisans are still unknown, but unofficial estimate is 30 to 50 thousand Croatian military and civilian personal.
It is interesting, that in Independent Croatia after 1991, due to still existing Communists influence in Croatian Government and media, no one was prosecuted for this war crimes, despite that responsible persons were well known.
In this grow rest mortal remains of killed warriors of Croatian Military Force 1941 – 1945.
Glory and Honor to them.
Association of Hrvatskih Domobrana and Officers Club “242”

They grave were destroyed by the order of (Communist) Interior Ministry of Croatia, dated 6.7.1945, ordering destruction of Military Graveyards (in Croatia).

It will be awesome to see this picture on a 1000 to 2000 piece jigsaw puzzle. Starsky spangled ether-bitsy nutbiting awesome!
This is the Tissa Wewa Rest House. Its name has now been changed to "The Sanctuary at Tissawewa".

This is not historical Coat of arms of town Ilok, but it is coat of arms of Italian family Odescalchi.
ora lo è, (Croatia) ma la foto l'ho scattata ancora con la pellicola nel 1979 e mi è sembrato corretto nominarla con il nome dell'epoca grazie ciao
