r.w, this is an interesting question, and to say the truth I would have cut these cars out of the image if I had could. Because in my everyday life, cars - all of them but mine, of course - mean noise, danger, and most of all, stinky gaz exhaust -especially diesel, I hate diesel cars - but mine - that I desperately try to escape from, when I'm on feet or bike... While boats always raise the feeling of freedom and evasion. This is partly unfair. Most boats stink for their terrible gaz exhaust as well, even worse than cars most of the times (except for sail boats, but don't they use an engine too, especially when they're close to us) and they can be a pain too for their noise, and they can be a danger as well. So the difference we make might just be a matter of unfair mental representation :) Or is it that most of us own a car, and so few own a boat, and that deep inside we'd love to have one too ?
