I'm just a daft old fart running around with a camera trying to capture and share to the best of my ability the myriad of varied and beautiful things that surround me in my native North Yorkshire and occasionally just a little further afield . If you enjoy what you see then please take time to say so as the knowledge my photography is being enjoyed is what drives me most. Many of my images are large compilations and are best viewed using the view original image button.

hiya sam its good to be back :-) once ive got my extension (which hasn't started) ill be intouch about a copy of one of you fantastic photos :-) id be proud to have it on our wall. yes im a Mrs now, life couldn't be better :-)

Thanks Ian, you'd not believe how long I stood there waiting for those to be in the right place and even then I'd have preferred them a tad more to the left.

Thanks you Kenny and Ian, I wasn't sure there was enough about this and/or if that central stone has to much dominance but as you can imagine there isn't much scope to so anything else. I'm very pleased to receive your comments of approval.

kind regards, Sam :o)

I was annoyed at first Ian by the dull and wet weather but in hindsight there is something pleasing and different about the overall appearance as a result so my annoyance has been replaced with satisfaction now. Cheers :o)

Thank you Amelia, I had to wait a long time for many more people to move before shooting but the two on the bridge were a deliberate inclusion to add life to the scene.

kind regards, Sam :o)

Cheers Andy and Ian, the sheep are the only reason I shot this one, their wandering into view up there and puncturing that otherwise boring horizon was too good to miss. I;ve had to lose some that were blurry because they moved but the flock left is ample I think.

best wishes. Sam :o)

Thank you Manola, I was lucky to have just the right conditions.

Thanks Richard, I like the composition but the lack of sunlight means I need to try again some day when it's brighter. I dropped by here as a fall back when I couldn't do much else on a dull day and to that end it's a success but I know in the right conditions there's a better version to be had.

Thanks Richard, my first outing on this particular course and I encountered a few hurdles, the weather for one and so all I can say is I needed the run and I managed a placing but you can bet that next time I'll be looking to win. Thank you

Ian.. no maybe about it, shooting a waterfall wouldn't be the same if I didn't have a splodge to get the angle I want :o)

Lloret it sure is a lovely one.

Beyer... I'm delighted you think that.

My kind regards and thanks to you all, Sam :o)
