Yorkshire Sam
on Google Maps
I'm just a daft old fart running around with a camera trying to capture and share to the best of my ability the myriad of varied and beautiful things that surround me in my native North Yorkshire and occasionally just a little further afield . If you enjoy what you see then please take time to say so as the knowledge my photography is being enjoyed is what drives me most. Many of my images are large compilations and are best viewed using the view original image button.

With it being grand National day you could say it's a very long shot ;-) but it's a winner for me Like Regards Richard

Cheers David, it took all my years of practice to capture that intense contrast but I'd chance having to do that more often if the sun would care to oblige. Ta muchly :o)

Ian, I only wish we had more of the sunlight and less of those grey clouds that seem to have squidged out the filling from the metaphorical sandwich just lately.

Andy, I know I would miss seeing them, for me they are a welcome tonic after the gloom of winter and they cheer me up no end.

*Käptn Iso * I appreciate your comment.

My thanks to you all, Sam :0)

Ian .. Bit like me doing things then :o)

Yes Ian it was a bit and the sky beyond quite a lot brighter by comparison which makes for a real tricky exposure but by being there often ( growing webbed feet ) I have finally got the measure of how to capture the scene. Cheers.

Kenny you obviously don't realise what depth of water I am sometimes in otherwise you'd have mentioned I could end up sprouting gills too :0) At least it makes a change from getting in hot water at home ;0)
