A beautiful and 'uncluttered' scene. I love the contrast of the white against that gorgeous blue! L&F. I realise HDR may have muddied the waters so to speak but I'm gob-smacked by the distinctive and natural colours that Pentax seems to give (a lot to do with your expertise in editing too no doubt). I'm very tempted to get a Pentax just for that 'Pentax look'. Apparently, I'm not imagining this: from what I've read, there's a 'Nikon look', a 'Canon look', a 'Pentax look' etc.
Best wishes, Brian.
We're building up to have a lovely house party dear friends! :))
A warm welcome to Keith from Skida Towers, Sarah from Georgian Hall, and Richard who seems to have lost his mansion. Keep up with the wee dram Scally.
Amelia what a great capture of this view!! You did a great job in composing this, I like it so much. those breaking waves and then up closer with the still muddy water (or not, can't tell) but a fine job with this photo! the eye can go on forever across that horizon..
I laughed up here at Christian's Hot Dogs link...I saw the cutest one of those on the streets of Gatlinburg, Tennessee on a fall trip there a few years ago.
Hope you are well dear Amelia...
Hugs and good wishes, ~~Sarah~~
Hi LIAM...now how in the world did you hear about a duck from the Artic being in Metter? :) husband and I have gone to the area, our Waste Water Management area, and took a look at the pond there and saw ducks far far across on the other side but we could not enter that area on the day we went, ( a gate going to that side of the pond was locked) Ive seen a link where some folks drove through Metter to find this long tailed duck! not sure if they saw it. I will check again soon and see if I can spot the foreign visitor! I remember that the "Wolf" family is longtime professional photographers, I sure wish I could have a crash course in this new camera I have purchased. sooo different than my other canon that I totally ruined last fall.:(
the first 2 - 3 shots on my gallery were made with the new one, but I have sooo much to learn and I am absolutely not into reading all those instructions that come along with this thing:((
Might would help tho wouldn't it ?:)) :)))
thanks for looking in on this duck, he was a proud fellow, showing off behind our Motel room in Gatlinburg Tennessee last fall..
Iam Ok Lian, but have had a pretty involved surgery in December. Am almost back to normal, just need to get my strength back. Always good to see you drop by.
from WAY down in Candler County, :) ~~Sarah~

Thanks NICK SHARP? OH MY, sooo much to learn with this new camera! thanks tho :)
HI STEVE, I suppose you are speaking about them being large when opened fully. They seem to be much like the shots with my other camera? But as just saying to Nick, sooo much to learn Steve. I need a Professor's help I am thinking!
Im glad you liked this shot of the little wooden church. The Men of Praise, (a group that both our sons sing in) presented a morning concert here on this date. Did I ever tell you to look them up on their website: ( themenofpraise.com)
You could hear sound bytes etc there and see profiles of each of the singers. their newest CD however, (out this past November) I don't think is on that site yet. the YSL is greatly appreciated Steve.
HUGS to both....~~Sarah~~ (fighting a pretty bad head cold, sore throat etc but taking meds:((( grrr!
:)))) NICK Uh erm, please say all this again? :)) Yes, Delanie is a dancer, she loves it, and I sooo love to watch her, (her and her little cousin beside her in the other shot,) they both dance in the same Dance Studio, but in different age groups.
thank you for these Dramatic, Delightful Delanie Debut comments!:) Hugs ..~~Sarah~~
Richard hello! sorry its been 2 days since your comment.. a busy weekend here with a birthday for my middle granddaughter ( and of course I do their cakes, ya know) Yes, I am recovering Richard, thank you so much. getting stronger and glad the ordeal is behind me.
HAHA! YOU and I BOTH wish we were 40 again!! on second thought, not sure about that. there is a saying that says "life begins at 40"...sometimes I think that is a true statement! :) Ive had a good time with my life since I was 40!
