Men ziet de oude molen die vroeger gebruikt werd om de olijven te pletten. De rivier ontspringt voorbij het dorp Alto, tegen de wand van de berg "El Tajo".De laatste moren verscholen zich boven op dit plateau, ze werden uitgeroeid. Er is zoveel bloed gevloeid, zodat men deze rivier, de bijnaam gaf van "Bloedrivier".

Hi uncle fred. Taken at the end of May 2005. A good time to visit Skye and indeed the NW Scotland generally. Midges not fully active then and weather normally pretty good.

I sailed into here on 11th September 2005. We crossed from Beachley slip. The wind was about force 5 and we were very grateful for a bit of shelter. The entrance is almost invisible until you are about two hundred yards way. My companion called it Whale Wharf.
